![]() ![]() The frames themselves are put together in Ann Arbor, MI. Our frames are handcrafted from reclaimed wood taken from deconstructed homes and buildings in the Detroit Metro Area. In 2013, we meet the team at Urban Ashes and we were inspired by their work with reclaimed wood, as well as their approach to training and working with formerly incarcerated individuals. Our designs are printed using low VOC and non-toxic inks on bamboo and cotton papers that are both chlorine and acid-free. ![]() Both print shops have been huge supporters of Holstee since the beginning and we couldn't be more proud to work with them. We produce our prints with EM Letterpress and Aardvark Letterpress, two craft-driven letterpress printers based in North Attleboro, MA and Los Angeles, CA respectively. The box was created with Master Paper Box in Illinois using from approximately 95% recycled material, and the recycled cardboard shipping box was printed with Arizona Corrugated in, well you may have guessed it, Arizona :-) The guides are printed with our friends at PrintWest, a Washington state based printer we have had the pleasure of working with for many years. Greater Good ToolkitĮvery part of the The Greater Good Toolkit from the guides, to the box, to the shipping box we send it in are all printed and assembled in the USA. At the end of their long life, the cards are also recyclable. Our playing cards are crafted from sustainably-forested paper, starch-based laminating glue and vegetable-based printing inks. They have been perfecting the quality of their cards since they started printing in 1867 and produce some the best quality cards in the world including Bicycle®, "Bee"®, Aviator®, and Hoyle® playing cards.Īfter reviewing samples from other vendors, we chose USPC for their print quality and their dedication to minimizing the environmental effects of production.
